The Early Years
Born in Creston, Iowa, to proud new parents, Dave and Carolyn Crigger.
For the first eleven years of my life, we lived on an acreage. As a boy, I remember this being pure bliss. My parents had mixed feelings abut the whole gig. Something to do with the cat's water bowl freezing solid on the kitchen floor...
EL PASO, TX
For the Spring and Summer of 1989, my family decided to try out Texas. The biggest highlights for me were all the little mini trips we took to White Sands, Albuquerque, Cloudcroft , etc. It was mostly fun, but we couldn't help but come back to Iowa.
The Middle Years
My Junior High and early High School days were mainly consumed with my newfound love of all things baseball. #GoCubsGo
Much of my life has involved an interest in music. I started playing violin at a young age and those interests continued to develop during these years, including a relatively humiliating contest experience where I completely blanked in the middle of a violin solo...much to my surprise, I still enjoy music.
High School involved a lot of "dunk ball," different vocal choirs, and mission trips with my youth group. My family also enjoyed some super fun vacations and ski trips. My beautiful wife says another highlight was meeting me at camp the summer before we started dating. I will take her word for this, as I don't recall this monumental event.
The Current Years
I know, College doesn't really belong under the heading, "The Current Years." However, you can't really make that decision as I am the one in control of the page content. My college years were filled with fantastic dates with my wife, lots of promotional trips for my alma mater, and a couple of professor who deeply impacted my understanding of this world.
June 19, 1999 marks my most favorite day, next to being changed by the gospel. This is the day that Londa and I promised to lives with each other and for each other forever. She has been the anchor in my life. She is my best friend, my lover, my confidant, and counseling. She is a bright light to my soul and a picture of the gospel. On a separate note, she will say that these words are somewhat sappy and inappropriate, but that is also why I love her.
Since 2003 we have been adding to our family, even when we don't try to add to our family. I mean, obviously we "try," but you know what I mean. We have been blessed with four children who reflect the image of God in their own way. I love each one of them and count myself undeservedly blessed.
